Course Details
all Courses are open for 7 active participants and MAXIMUM 10 observers
every Course is structured over 3 days
The first day is a full study day followed by two days of active conducting with the ensemble.
The first day is focused on score preparation
This will include a discussion about orchestral challenges of the piece, potential solutions, individual interpretations, aspects of technical difficulties and developing a productive rehearsal technique appropriated to the repertoire.
Practical weekend
During practical weekends ( Saturday and Sunday) all participants will work with professional chamber orchestra. Soloists join the course on Sunday.
podium time
Each participant will conduct for 45 min per day, two sessions a day, before and after lunch break.
Each day will be finished with a debriefing and discussion session where all participants will receive individual feedback.
Full schedule will be provided for all participants in advance.
location and Recordings
All practical days will be held at St Hilda`s College Oxford, and will be recorded by MuzikFermata.
Recordings will be available for active participants only.
